Newmarket – Middle Park Stakes

The Middle Park Stakes in just one of the featured races on the card this Saturday at Newmarket on Dubai Future Champions Day but the race is sure to attract plenty of attention from horse betting punters.

At present there are 16 runners holding entries for the race and the Group 1 contest is sure to offer a fascinating spectacle.

Leading the field is trainer Yann Berberot’s Prix Money runner-up Family One. The horse is currently best priced at 4/1 in the ante-post betting markets and is sure to attract strong numbers of horse bets on the day. The horse will be ridden by Olivier Peschlier in place of regular jockey Ioritz Mendizaba, who has a shoulder injury and will not be riding this week, but this will certainly not be a disadvantage.

Second favourite in the ante-post market is Caspar Netscher. The Alan McCabe-trained youngster is priced at 5/1 and will be popular with punters following a strong victory in the Gimcrack Stakes recently.

Trainer Kevin Ryan’s Bapak Chinta is another serious competitor and is available at a reasonably generous 11/2. The horse missed the an intended run at York in the Nunthorpe but is going well at home and will be expected to put in a good performance on the Rowley Mile.

Other interesting runners declared to run include Lilbourne Lad (12/1), the only runner for trainer Richard Hannon, and Crusade (16/1) and Reply (20/1) for Aiden O’Brien.

Burwaaz (14/1) trained by Ed Dunlop also retains his entry whilst James Toller’s Saigon (20/1) is due to run and is proving a popular each way selection in the ante-post markets.
