Murray Staying Grounded

World number four Andy Murray has insisted he won’t be taking anything for granted after winning the Cincinnati Masters title last weekend. The 24-year-old is currently preparing for the US Open in New York next week, as he goes in search of his first Grand Slam title after coming so close in the past. Those looking to Bet on US Open tennis will be watching his progress intently.

Murray has reached three Grand Slam finals in his career so far, all of those coming on hard-surface courts in Australian and the United States. The Scotsman has been in good form, and was on course to beat the world number one Novak Djokovic, before the Serb was forced to retire with a shoulder injury.

Despite his win, Murray is not letting himself get carried away ahead of the upcoming Grand Slam at Flushing Meadows, and is keen to get his preparation just right before the event. He said: “I’ve had a few niggles throughout the year and had a few niggles this week as well. It just kind of happens. The plan is to be feeling perfect going into the grand slams. That’s really been my goal this year, and I’ve done a good job at it so far.” Despite this he may still be popular when people are Betting on Tennis.

Murray managed to reach the final of the US Open back in 2008 and will be hoping he can go one step further this time around in the Big Apple.
