14:20 – Lord of The Reins is potentially well treated nowadays and only has to step up a little on recent efforts to be a major player at a track he usually does well at. Boragh Jamal won a similar event over this course and distance during the summer and should strip fitter after returning from a break at Lingfield recently.

14:50 – With eight runners in the juvenile maiden, Copper Canyon is worth banking on. Not only does he set the standard on form after finishing second on his other two starts, but the step up in trip should bring out further improvement, too.

15:20 – The Which Doctor is hard to win with given his come-from-behind style, but he has largely held his form well this year and it’s not hard to see him running into a place again here. Follow The Flag returned to winning ways when landing quite a competitive event at Lingfield two weeks earlier and, given that he’s more than capable of holding his form once he’s recaptured it, he can go close again from just a 3-lb higher mark.

15:50 – This looks a good opportunity for Red Rhythm to open his account, particularly as his main danger on form, Co Dependent, has another lengthy absence to overcome.

16:20 – Andrew Balding sent out Danger Mulally to win this race last year and can take it again with nursery debutant Angelic Upstart, who showed big improvement when winning his maiden at Wolverhampton last time and seems to have a lot more scope than his rivals here.

16:50 – Covert Mission is a reliable mare under both codes and her recent comeback over hurdles should see her fit enough to give a bold show on her return to this sphere.
