Knockdolian runs at Folkestone (above)
“Early backers have taken Knockdolian’s price down from [5.0] to [2.78].”
Today’s Follow The Money selections run at Folkestone, Southwell and Wolverhampton.
The Southwell 13:30 market has seen a positive move for Alaskan Prince from [25.0] in to [11.0]. The handicapper is unlikely to be surprised by the performance of anything else in the field, our selection is the youngest, the most lightly raced and backers think open to most improvement.
Roger Charlton mounts an attack on NH racing in the shape of Knockdolian in the Folkestone 14:40 (his only other runner under the code won two bumpers) and early backers have taken the price down from [5.0] to [2.78]. After a nice introduction last month, Timmy Murphy again takes the ride and hopefully will have the favourite in his sights when the race gets serious – Mr Muddle was himself the subject of a gamble last week on the AW but ran a terrible race and has been drifting this morning while the rest of the field are double figure prices.
Piquante ran a good race for Hayley Turner last week and the team would be expected to put up a good show today in the 15:50 at Wolverhampton. Early bets were matched around the [2.8] mark but the price has steadily risen since to a mid-morning [4.0]. Held up last time, pushed along the time before and pulled hard the time before that, today the visor is left off and with just five runners in today’s field, one thing is for certain: this ride will be far from straightforward for Ms Turner.
Recommended bets:
Back Alaskan Prince @ [11.0] 13:30 Southwell
Back Knockdolian @ [2.78] 14:40 Folkestone
Lay Piquante @ [4.0] 15:50 Wolverhampton
